About Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is a part of IES Institute of Technology and Management, a constituent unit under the IES University. The university has well furnished computer labs, digital class rooms, software and library with more than 15000 volumes of text books and reference books with subscribed e-journals. The department of mechanical engineering is intended to prepare competent, creative mechanical professionals who would be able to faces different challenges in the various environments. B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course. Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.

To develop Mechanical technocrats along with professional ethics in very effective teaching and learning environment.

To provide appropriate facilities and environment for effective teaching learning process. To maintaining outcome base education to provide to build a strong academic foundation. . To enhance the technical skills towards the practical approach through workshop, expert lectures and Industry-Institute interactions. To offer quality education in mechanical Engineering and prepare the students for professional career and higher studies.

  • Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: To use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions in area of civil engineering.

  • Modern Tool Usage: To create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

  • The Engineer and Society: To apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues to the professional engineering practice in the domain of Mechanical Engineering.
